I enjoy very much being a Santa. I must admit, I was very nervous at the outset, but as the years have passed I feel I have grown into the role. Young people these days certainly keep me on my toes with their very interesting questions and its not all about the presents. I get many questions about Mrs Claus and what's happening back at the workshop in the North Pole.
I have been a real-beard Santa for the past nine years, working various locations around Sydney and in Singapore. The photograph here was taken in Singapore at Christmas 2024. In Singapore, especially, many families travel overseas during the Christmas break, so I get questions about Santa's travel plans and hoping he will make it to their holiday destination.

Now living in The Sutherland Shire, NSW, with my wife Catherine. Happy to travel to location and am having a lot of fun doing what I love doing.
Equipment
Obviously, I have my own suits, with the appropriate padding (as I am not quite Santa dimensions in real life), leather boots with fur trim at the top, wide leather belt with a giant festive buckle, boot bells, (so it sounds like 'Jingle Bells' when I walk around), and a very loud brass school bell to announce my arrival.
